In a post on Twitter, Former Prime Minister and Member of the Democratic Camp Party, Ehud Barak, said that if Israeli President Rivlin gives the mandate to form a government to Netanyahu it will be a big mistake, writing:
"Before us are probably critical hours for our future and for Israeli democracy.
If President Rivlin is indeed considering giving a mandate to Netanyahu to form a new government tonight, then we are just ahead of a serious mistake, which may turn out to be the turning point when the collapse of our democracy begins."
