In a post on Twitter, Minister Yoav Galant (Likud) attacked Turkish President Erdogan over his comments on Israel, writing:
"For 400 years, Turkey ruled the Land of Israel - a time of decline, poverty, oppression and illiteracy. Israel brings advancement, prosperity, and success to its people and its surroundings. Erdogan wants to drag our region back hundreds of years into his dark and cruel world - I condemn the incitement and lying, we will continue to work for the triumph of light over darkness."
