The Ministry of Communications responded to Cellcom's announcement of plans to layoff employees.
"The Ministry is closely monitoring the state of the companies, but does not intend to intervene in the companies themselves. The ministry is examining additional steps to balance competition on the one hand and to enable companies to invest in advanced infrastructure, on the other," a ministry spokesperson said.
