Danon: UN anti-Semitism report reflects change toward Israel

Danny Danon, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, has welcomed the release of an interim report of its Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief, "Combatting Antisemitism to Eliminate Discrimination and Intolerance Based on Religion or Belief."

Among other things, the report "notes claims that the objectives, activities and effects of the Boycott Divestement Sanctions (BDS) movement are fundamentally antisemitic." Danon said, "The report reflects the organizational change towards Israel. The assertion that the BDS movement encourages Antisemitism is an important UN statement."
