President Reuven Rivlin is expected to tell Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Chairman Benny Gantz of the Blue and White Party at a Monday-evening meeting that he is ready to wait until after Rosh Hashanah and not give a mandate to anyone if they hold talks to form a unity government, according to public radio.
If one of the two refuses the unity proposal, the president's mandate to form a government will be given to an individual as early as Wednesday.
