The first cranes of the fall have been observed in the Hula Lake (Agamon Hahula in Hebrew) Nature Reserve of the Keren Kayemet Leyisrael Jewish National Fund.
The birds come mainly from Russia, Finland and Estonia. Most of them will continue their migration to Africa while about a third of them will stay throughout the winter.
