State President Reuven Rivlin asked Labor Party chairman Amir Peretz whether, if there was another candidate other than the one he recommended, Peretz would negotiate with him.
Peretz responded, "We pledged not to negotiate with Netanyahu and pledged not to join a government headed by him. We do not boycott the Likud. We definitely are not negotiating and are not reaching any agreement that Netanyahu is prime minister. For the sake of the healing of Israeli society, the time has come that this change takes place, and the Likud also needs to do its soul-searching."
