Yesterday, police were called to the Dung Gate area of the Old City of Jerusalem following a report of an attack on a youth and damage to his glasses.
As soon as police arrived, they began a speedy investigation, gathered additional evidence and findings, which led to the identification of the suspect (16, a resident of eastern Jerusalem), who was arrested by police shortly after.
The suspect was brought to police for questioning and today will be brought for a remand hearing.
