The Hot and Cellcom communications companies are in advanced talks about a merger, according to Channel 12 News.
If the merger is approved, it will in fact be the unification of the main services - Internet, cellular, television and telephone - which will make this group the largest communications group in Israel. The main concern is that a merger will hurt competition in the television market and the anti-trust commissioner may object to this. No official application has yet been submitted to the commissioner. No comment from either company, Cellcom saying it does not respond to rumors.
