Officials in the Joint List of predominantly Arab parties say the reason they have not yet decided whether to recommend Blue and White Party Chairman Benny Gantz to the president as their choice for forming the government is related to messages they have received from Blue and White.

The Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation reported that Gantz's party has not decided whether to accept the first mandate of forming a coalition from President Reuven Rivlin or to let Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu be the first, assuming Netanyahu will fail.
