Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan (Likud) responded to the exit polls on Tuesday night, saying that the Likud is united behind the leadership of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

“We must wait for the true results which can significantly change the situation. Even according to the exit polls, there is a majority who will recommend Prime Minister Netanyahu and the right-wing bloc, since the Joint List will not be part of any government that will emerge and presenting it as part of the left-wing bloc is a fiction. Therefore, Prime Minister Netanyahu should be tasked with forming the government," said Erdan.

"And, as I have said many times: There is no room for the disqualifications and boycotts by Blue and White of the Prime Minister and it must respect the decision of the Likud members even if they are not used to democratic procedures. I sincerely thank all Likud activists for the tremendous effort and the many Likud supporters across the state," he added.
