10,543 polling stations opened at 7:00 am for elections to the 22nd Knesset and will remain open until 10:00 pm, except in localities up to 350 residents, where the polls will open at 8:00 am and close at 8:00 pm. The same goes for hospitals and prisons and detention centers.
Election Day is a sabbatical-type off day, but public transportation and other public services set by the Central Election Committee (restaurants, theaters and cinemas, water and electricity plants, hospitals, rescue forces and others) are working as normal. Inter-city public transportation is free of charge.
