United States President Donald Trump told reporters, Monday, it “certainly would look” like Iran was behind the weekend attack on a Saudi Arabian oil facility. Asked if Iran was responsible for the attack, Trump said, “Well, it’s looking that way. We’ll let you know definitively. ... That’s being checked out right now.”

The president said he doesn’t want war with Iran, but noted the U.S. has the best weapons systems. He listed fighter jets, missiles and other systems, adding, “The United States is more prepared” for a conflict than any country in history. He concluded, “With all that being said, we’d certainly like to avoid" a conflict.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other administration officials will soon go to Saudi Arabia.
