Secretary of Defense Mark Esper of the United States commented, Monday, about the weekend attack on a Saudi Arabian oil facility, saying, "The United States military, with our interagency team, is working with our partners to address this unprecedented attack and defend the international rules-based order that is being undermined by Iran."
Esper wrote on Twitter after briefing President Donald Trump on the situation. Over the weekend, he spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, and Iraqi Minister of Defense al-Shammary about the attack.
