Meir Ben Shabat, the head of the National Security Council reportedly told Chairman Hanan Melcer of the Central Election Committee last Wednesday that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu intended to embark on a military operation in Gaza, which could lead to the postponement of the elections, according to Haaretz.
