Chairman Benny Gantz of the Blue and White Party has told a gathering to mark the end of the party's election campaign, "I call on President Rivlin to give the mandate to assemble the government only to one who commits to return it if he does not form a coalition."
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu did not return the mandate after he failed to form a coalition from the parties that entered the Knesset following the April elections.
