General Aharon Haliva, who heads the the Operations Division of the Israel Defense Forces, spoke at a Sunday ceremony marking a change in military spokesmen.
Haliva said, "The missions of the Spokesperson's Office are almost equivalent to the importance of operational activity. In recent weeks, we have seen the extent to which the activity is intertwined with operational activity. We are witnessing an unprecedented media revolution. The media arena is part of the battle theater."
