Police officers who were patrolling Highway 40, near the Omer interchange on Thursday night, suddenly noticed a driver stopping abruptly on the roadside.

The officers stopped next to him and then found out he was holding his son, about a year and a half old, and was carrying out life-saving operations on the toddler while talking to a medical center.

The officers assisted him and, when he was able to continue driving, accompanied him until he arrived at the children’s ward in the Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva.
