In a post on Twitter, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said that the senate will hold a moment of silence for the victims of 9/11, writing:
"18 years ago, my city, our country, changed forever. In the span of a few hours, the towers fell, the Pentagon was hit, smoke rose from an empty field in Pennsylvania. This morning, I’ll return to the floor with my Senate colleagues for a moment of silence in memory of 9/11."
