The Movement for Quality Government petitioned the Supreme Court on Thursday against the recent agreement between the Likud and Zehut Parties, under which Zehut Chairman Moshe Feiglin will receive a senior economic post in exchange for Zehut pulling out of the September 17th Knesset election.

A statement by the movement said, "The agreement is illegal, does not comply with public regulations, violates the rules of democracy, and strikes a mortal blow to the purity of the electoral process and should therefore be canceled. The current ruling party - which is a powerful force - is working to "rearrange the political field" in accordance with its interests, using undemocratic and illegal ways."
