Knesset Member Orly Levi-Abekasis of the Labor-Gesher Party protested Likud's reaction to Betzalel Smotrich.
"Only a detached party, which has lost its social path and voters, can underestimate the child rights committee. The state of Israel is in a social emergency and our children, are the first to suffer," she said.
Her comments come on the backdrop of Likud's disrespect for the Child Rights Committee: "If the Likud is not the biggest, you will spend most of your time as an opposition member on the Child Rights Committee."
