As part of investigations conducted by the Environment Ministry in collaboration with the Health Ministry to monitor and detect West Nile fever throughout the country, it was found that in Wadi Al Khafi, between the Neve Ya'akov neighborhood and Pisgat Ze'ev (Ma'aleh Nahal Perat), adult mosquitoes were found, infected with the disease.
The Ministry noted that the presence of mosquitoes infected with the West Nile fever poses a danger of outbreak, and immediate action must therefore be taken that the Ministry requested of the Jerusalem Municipality.
