Due to a sewer line malfunction of Hatanur Corporation near Ein Kinia, wastewater was discharged into the Banias stream. The fault was fixed during the night and there is no noxious flow at this time. The public is asked not to perform water activities along the Banias and Jordan rivers.
The Health and Environmental Protection Ministries will continue to monitor water quality in the stream. The Environmental Protection Ministry will examine the circumstances of the incident.
