Details of the Tax Authority strike

Approximately 3,500 employees of the income and real-estate departments of the Tax Authority will begin a strike at 6:00 am Wednesday across the country. Offices will be closed, no public requests will be processed, no audits will be conducted and no administrative work will be carried out.

The workers claim that management refuses to enter into negotiations with the workers regarding a series of unilateral measures affecting their rights and pay conditions, including harm to overtime and being available for work, and what they call draconian demands that infringe on the workers' democratic right to organize. They also claim that new software will harm wages and working conditions, revoking many rights that have been around for decades.
