Fire and rescue teams were called to Rachmilevich Street in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood of northern Jerusalem on Tuesday morning, following a strong gas leak near a four-storey residential building.

The leak began during earthworks when workers hit a gas main. The fire department closing and sealing the leak, as well as preventing the gas from catching fire or exploding. Following the leak, residents of the nearby building were evacuated until repair of the leak is completed.
