Culture and Sports Minister Miri Regev attacked fellow Likud Party member, Member of Knesset David Bitan on Tuesday, after he claimed on Monday that there is a possibility of a unity government with Chairman Benny Gantz of the Blue and White Party.
In the past Bitan has been seen as making statements for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to gauge the public's reaction. Interviewed by public radio, Regev said, "On the issue of unity David Bitan spoke only about his opinion," adding, "Bitan says many things on his own. That's not what Prime Minister Netanyahu says. The Prime Minister said himself that there will be no unity government. With whom is David Bitan talking?"
