A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces has confirmed that the Avivim base was evacuated in the last few days because of tensions on the Lebanese border, according to Channel 13 News.
While the base has since been locked, an Arabic-language reporter for Russia Today filed a report from the base, which she described as empty.
