President Donald Trump of the United States said, during a news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the G7 economic summit on Monday, "We haven’t discussed Iran too much, but I think we agree that Iran shouldn’t be nuclear. It’s a very important thing. In fact, I think we’ll be coming out with a statement, to that effect, from the G7."
Earlier, appearing with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah As-Sisi, Trump said, "Iran has great potential."
