The official value of the shekel declined an average of .21 percent on Monday against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list.
The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.519, up .228 percent from Friday, while the Euro rose .674 percent to 3.9116 shekels and the pound sterling was set at 4.3057 shekels, up .485 percent. The Swiss franc jumped 1.01 percent against the backdrop of trade tensions between the United States and China, which drove the Japanese yen up .932 percent.
