Minister Yoav Galant addressed the tension in the South in an interview on Reshet Bet, saying: "When we have to, we will work with great intensity. War is the last option and before that all the options should be exhausted. Hamas is not interested in gliding into a confrontation but it and others on his behalf are playing with fire. We must not be reckless. We will set the timing and the conditions."
On the threats from the north, Galant said: "I take the enemy's threats seriously. The enemy must not be allowed to reach an advantage during routine times so that he can use it during wartime. We will not allow the establishment of an Iranian army in Syria. We will not allow this establishment in Syria."
