Democratic Camp Chair Nitzan Horowitz responds to the statement by the Attorney General regarding the separation of public performances in the local authorities.
"The attorney general is wrong and his decision is completely wrong. Separation by gender in public space should not be allowed under any circumstances. Public space, as it is, must remain open and free to the general public. There is no 'voluntary' separation."
"The problem with segregation is the need to force and enforce it on those who are not interested in it. Therefore, segregation in the public sphere, by gender, race, religion or any other divide, severely impairs freedom and equality values," Horowitz said.
