Jamal Zahalka, a former Balad Party chairman and Knesset member, has criticized a statement by Chairman Ayman Odeh of the Joint List of predominantly Arab parties that he is willing to sit in a center-left coalition. He told Channel 13 News the statement "contradicts the common position of Balad" calling it, "a dangerous public relations exercise."
Radio Hatzafon quoted Member of Knesset Aida Touma-Sliman (Hadash-Taal) as saying, "If you're already dreaming, why not go all the way? Why shouldn't I be prime minister?"
