The Ministry of Health has published a draft regulation to remove medical cannabis from the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, subject to the dose, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation. Under the regulation, prescription would be exempted and not considered a dangerous drug up to 40 grams per month.

The Medical Cannabis Association said the regulations would not benefit patients because many patients need doses in excess of 40 grams, noting that children with epilepsy and autism are usually treated at twice that dosage.
