In a post on Twitter, MK Idit Silman (Yemina) hailed the decision of the President of the rabbinical court, Rabbi David Lau, to prevent the burial of the mother of a man who refused to give his wife a divorce, writing:
"I support the decision by Rabbi David Lau, it was an important and courageous decision! Collaboration between rabbis in Israel and around the world is a victory for the fight against the phenomenon of 'chained women'."
