Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky supported the decision of a religious court to prevent the burial of the mother of a man who refused to give a divorce to his wife until he agreed to comply with court rulings on the issue.
This morning, members of the Burial organization went to the rabbi's residence to ask what to do with the deceased. The Rabbi replied "You did right to prevent the burial"
As stated, following the verdict of the Religious Court, the man announced that he would abide by the court's rulings in the future and has now been permitted to bury his mother.
