Chairman Ran Erez of the Irgun Hamorim has told public radio that he will convene a meeting of the the organization on Tuesday to decide whether or not to open the school year "due to the labor disputes we have announced," adding, "I'm leaning toward not opening the school year."
Erez explained, "For four years, we have been trying to solve problems in teachers' working conditions. These things are not moving a millimeter. All the negotiations we are holding with the Ministry of Education and the Treasury are not bringing any results."
