It was disclosed, Monday afternoon, that police officers in the city of Hadera foiled a stabbing a month ago.
A man sitting suspiciously in a bus stop late at night drew their attention. During officers attempts to question him, he pulled a knife and tried to stab them. He fled but was caught and later admitted he intended to stab a soldier at the bus station. The detention of the 21-year-old Palestinian Authority resident - who was illegally staying in Israel - has been extended from time to time and this morning an indictment was filed against him in the Haifa District Court.
