Revenues of approximately 426 million shekels were recorded from natural gas, oil and minerals in the first half of 2019, according to revenue report for the period, released on Monday by the Treasury, Accounting and Economics Division of the Natural Resources Administration at the Ministry of Energy.
About NIS 412 million was from natural gas, an increase of 2.2% in gas and oil royalties compared to the same period last year. It should be noted that the increase was relatively moderate, following a fall in revenues in April due to a malfunction and temporary cessation of production in the "Tamar" holdings, as well as a significant decline in the dollar exchange rate, which reduced the income from royalties.
