An enforcement operation by the Israel Police in the Arab sector has resulted in the seizure of a handgun and ammunition, as well as the detention for questioning of four suspects.
Since the beginning of 2019 in the north alone, 133 rifles, 264 guns, 98 grenades, 74 explosive devices, 771 firebombs, six rocket propelled grenades and thousands of firecrackers have been seized. Nearly 1,100 suspects were arrested for possession, trafficking and use of weapons. There have been 109 indictments and 112 defendants have been detained until the end of the proceedings.
