The Iranian Foreign Ministry has criticized a United States agreement to set up a safe zone in northern Syria, calling it “provocative and worrisome”, according to the Fars news agency.
The criticism comes against the backdrop of last week's joint plan by the US and Turkey to set up a joint operations center in northeastern Syria.
