Member of Knesset Ofir Sofer (Yemina) said on Sunday, "As a representative of the Galilee, I intend to work towards the economic growth of the Galilee as well as to promote the specific high-tech complex in Bar Lev Park."
Speaking during an election-campaign visit to the western Galilee facility, MK Sofer explained that if the government decide to subsidize some of the workers' wages there, as has been done in the Negev industrial areas, this would be a significant incentive for companies seeking to establish their offices in Bar Lev. He added, "In one decision, the government could make 4,000 engineers stay in the north and even bring back quite a few of our children who have left to the center."
