Chairman Amir Peretz of the Labor-Gesher Party has responded to the sharp slowdown in the economy's growth in the second quarter of 2019 by saying, "The next time you see the children in the sardine classrooms, meet a young couple who can't buy an apartment or get a nurse in a hospital - know that this is a direct result of the deep economic crisis that Netanyahu and his students, Bennett, Kahlon and Lapid, led us to."
Peretz continued, "Netanyahu and his students are abandoning the citizens of Israel. Labor-Gesher will invest in them. We will invest more in every child, every employee, every young couple and every elderly and sick person because we see humans first and foremost. The socio-economic plan we have introduced will bring about a reduction in the social gaps in Israel and the growth of the economy because by us, people are first and foremost."
