A new variety of edible grapes, named "Rivlin Grapes" in memory of President Reuven Rivlin's late wife Nechama, was presented to the president and his family on Thursday, when they toured the University Veterinary Hospital in Beit Dagan and the Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Directorate.
The seedless variety is described as rare, with a very thin peel and exceptional sweetness. Thanking its developers after tasting some of the grapes President Rivlin said with emotion, "They have the taste of Nechama [the Hebrew word for comfort -ed]."
