Chairman Avi Gabai of the Histadrut Labor Federation's Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) District and CEO Yair Shapira of the Golan Heights Winery have signed a first, breakthrough collective bargaining agreement to apply to the more than 50 workers employed in manufacturing and operations, the laboratory and the visitor center in Katzrin.
The agreement will improve their terms of employment over the next four years. As part of the agreement, all employees will receive pay increases of 11 to 14 percent, depending on their job. In addition, they will receive a special 250-shekel signing grant for each year of seniority in the factory, with some employees employed at the winery for about 20 years.
