Afula Mayor Avi Elkabetz has responded to the Supreme Court's cancellation of a Wednesday-evening concert for the haredi-religious public at a municipal park in his city.
Gender-separation for the concert was the focus of court battles this week. Elkabetz told Galei Tzahal radio, "Apparently there was no intention of canceling the show. Otherwise the court would announce just a minute after the event began. The concert with segregtion signifies unity."
