Justice Minister Amir Ohana has responded to the indictment against Labor and Welfare Minister Haim Katz by saying, "The law requires a minister who has been indicted to resign, so I believe that will happen soon."
Interviewed by public radio, Ohana added, "I hope he continues to maintain his innocence after the trial, which will go ahead anyway. The Knesset committee that will deal in his immunity will be established only in the next Knesset, and I believe his request [to keep it] will be accepted."
