The temporary Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee has unanimously decided to recommend that the Knesset plenum extend the state of emergency until April 4, 2020.
The cabinet had proposed extending the status a whole year. The state of emergency has been in effect since shortly after Israel declared independence in 1948.
