A new, life-saving drug, approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration but not yet registered to enter the 2020 drug basket in Israel was rushed at the request of doctors with extraordinary approval of the Health Ministry but did not arrive in time. The rare disease is called TTP (Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura) that results in blood clots forming in small blood vessels throughout the body. Rash appears on the skin and there is a sharp and dangerous drop in platelet levels.
