Executive Director Michal Gera Margaliot of the Israel Women's Network has welcomed a court ruling prohibiting gender segregation at a musical performance - canceled due to the ruling - for the religious and haredi-religious public in Afula in response to a ruling on a petition filed by the organization.
Gera Margaliot said, "We have taken another significant step today to ensure the status and right of women to be present and equal in all public spaces. It is not possible that in the public domain and with public funding, Dad cannot go with his daughter to the inflatables and Mom will be separated at the entrance to a public park from her sons, as the case would have been in Afula."
