The Jordanian Foreign Ministry reacted to tensions on the Temple Mount: "We have sent a formal protest letter to Israel about the events at the al-Aqsa Mosque and demanded that Israel respect the feelings of Muslim worshipers.
"We condemn the Israeli provocations against the worshipers. Israel is responsible for such violence and tension and such measures will lead to increased despair and frustration," the statement said.
